DISTINCTIVE JEWELRY, MADE BY HAND
OFFFHAND creates jewelry and objects from solid silver, gold and platinum. Designed and made in Vorarlberg by goldsmith Michael Rüscher. Familiar at first glance, unexpected when you look closer. Or, as we call it: Not What It Looks Like.
Selected by Michael
Three pieces Michael would start with.
Made with substance
Nothing hollow. Nothing mass-produced. Each OFFFHAND piece is made from solid precious metal — silver, gold or platinum. Cast, formed and finished by hand in our workshop in Austria.
You can feel it in the weight and see it in the surface. We don’t use coatings or hollow constructions. The material is not there to create the appearance of value. It is the value. Made to be worn, to age and to stay with you.

Late Night Lines is a series of notes from the workbench and beyond. On making things, the stories around them, and everything that happens in between.
LOST is a tribute to those who find beauty in uncertainty. For a generation moving through a shifting world with curiosity and quiet strength — guided not by rules, but by intuition. It’s not about having all the answers, but about embracing the unknown, celebrating the in-between, and carrying that spirit with pride.
There’s a weight to these pieces – not just in their material, but in their presence. Solid gold, silver, platinum. No hollow tricks, no coatings, no compromises. Just honest metal and the echo of a time when jewelry was meant to last — and to mean something.
BOND is made to connect. It looks knotted and flexible, as if the form could still move. But it is cast from solid precious metal — rigid, weighty and permanently fixed. What appears soft and tied is held in one precise, lasting form.
At the center is a unique clasp, seamlessly integrated into the design. It stays visually quiet while holding the entire piece together.
GLOW begins before you touch it. A shape that senses you. A line that won’t be pinned down. It doesn’t declare what it is — and yet, it means everything. A mountain range? An algorithm? A melody? A memory? You decide.
This is a form with a inner presence — quiet, fluid, alive. A reflection on change — where static shapes shift into motion and structure softens into flow.
HOLD is not about creating something new. It’s about changing how something already exists. Gold and silver are often kept stored away, preserved but rarely used. HOLD brings them back into everyday life. What you bring is melted down and shaped into an espresso cup. A single form, made to be used. Same material, different role.
